Big Game Fishing - Adrenaline on the Atlantic
Cape Verde is one of the top fishing destinations in the Atlantic – and Boa Vista is right in the middle of it. The crystal-clear waters around the island are rich in marine life and offer ideal conditions for various fishing techniques. Whether it’s grouper, moray eel, triggerfish, yellowfin tuna, wahoo, amberjack, mahi mahi or the majestic blue marlin – every angler’s heart beats faster here.
Trolling & Vertical Jigging – targeting specific catches
When trolling, the classic big game method, we target tuna, mahi mahi, serra and blue marlin. Using high-quality artificial lures (Rapalla & Squid), we fish at depths between 40 and 70 metres – excitement guaranteed.
For the feisty amberjack, we rely on vertical jigging – an exciting technique that can also be ideally combined with the big game tour.
The main season for blue marlin is between April and July, but big game fishing is possible all year round with us.
Weather conditions & safety
From December to May, strong waves can occur more frequently due to the trade winds – in these cases, it may be necessary to postpone or cancel tours. The best weather conditions for big game fishing are from June to November.
Safety and your well-being are our top priority. We always check tours booked in advance with you shortly before the date based on the current weather conditions.
Catch & Release – fair and sustainable
When catching a blue marlin, we apply the catch & release principle – this fascinating fish is released again after being caught. Other catches are divided among the crew; in the case of large fish, a portion is also given to those in need on Boa Vista. The catch is not sold.

Our boats – your base for adventure
AL Custom "Blue Fever"
The „Blue Fever“ is an AL Custom 21 – a boat specially designed for fishing. It is 7 m long and equipped with a powerful 150 hp Suzuki outboard motor. We also carry a small „emergency engine“. There is seating in the bow and at the stern. Our „cruising speed“ is 15 – 25 knots, depending on the wind and waves. Thanks to the automatic trim system, the boat lies perfectly in the water. The boat is used for big game tours for up to 2 people.
Our Yacht "Simply No Stress"
The „Simply No Stress“ is our 15 metre long and 5 metre wide motor yacht, which is mainly used for our Fish, Chill & Grill Tour, the Land & Sea Tour and the Whale Watching Tour. It has 2 375 hp Caterpillar engines, seating and sunbathing areas in the sun and shade, and there is also a toilet on board. The „cruising speed“ is 8 – 12 knots, depending on the wind and waves. For the big game tours, we only use them for group bookings of 3 or more people.
