Big Game Fishing

For tuna, mahi mahi, serra and blue marlin, trolling is used for big game fishing. We use various plastic baits (Rapalla & Squid) at depths between 40 and 70 metres. We mainly catch amberjack using vertical jigging. This can be combined with the Big Game Tour. The main season for blue marlin is from April to July. We can offer big game fishing all year round. In the months of December to May, however, it can often be very windy with high swell. In this case, tours have to be postponed or cancelled completely. The best weather conditions for big game tours are from June to November. Of course, strong winds and high waves can also occur during this time. Safety and well-being always come first. We will therefore always check the weather forecast when you are here and, if necessary, coordinate the dates with you again. If we catch a blue marlin, the following applies: Catch & Release – this fish will be released. All other fish are divided among the crew. In the case of larger catches, a portion will also go to people in need on the island of Boa Vista. Under no circumstances will the fish be sold afterwards.
